Hi

I have an exchange server and ad account ready to use for setting up email notifications for the SQL 2005 maintenance plans. I would like to be notified whether they pass or fail. Please can someone detail what steps I need to set this up?

Thanks

I've added database mail without any problem, tested the account and received an email at my hotmail address.

I've also added an operator with my email address to be notified when a maintenance job completes, but never receive an email. The job history just says email failed to send.

Any ideas what i've missed during the configuration?
