I have also seen this icon on an HTC WP7 Mozart.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I believe that means call forwarding or call divert is turned on.  Check your phone settings.

Is this phone on roaming? It could be giving you information about location services being on / off?

It is on roaming but that is a different icon, I think it is something to do with the flip out keypad.

If you call your phone number, does it ring or puts through to vm?

Phone accepts calls fine, goes to VM if unanswered. Just noticed this morning icon has gone! This to me suggests its showing that device is uploading or syncing?
