CTIW fails to complete successfully

I have just inherited an SBS 2008 server. I suspect that when it was set up the first time many 'wizard' steps were skipped. Nevertheless, the server has been in production now for years and I can't just 'start over' now.

My goal is to introduce an SSL Certificate so that we can do Activesync and Outlook Anywhere properly. I cannot seem to do this and so I researched and remembered how to use the Fix My Network Wizard in SBS 2008.

But running FMNW basically says I need to run Internet Address Management Wizard (IAMW) before I can get anywhere. And when I try and run IAMW it says that I must first run Connect To Internet Wizard (CTIW).

Running CTIW I get your basic CTIW fails to complete successfully for reasons unknown.

I have attached the CTIW.log file in hopes that someone can make sense of it.

With or without the log file, can someone please guide me to be able to either:

1) Make the CTIW, IAMW and FMNW work

or

2) Be able to apply a 3rd party security certificate to facilitate the use of ActiveSync and Outlook Anywhere which is the real goal.

Thanks,

Paul / readyTECH

Cliff -

Sorry so long in getting back. IPv6 is enabled on the (single) NIC. What gave you that idea though; what other clues could I learn from that?

thanks,

Paul

Cliff was 100% correct but it wasn't obvious to me since as I said the NIC properties showed IPv6 'checked' meaning active. However elsewhere in the registry someone had set the IPv6 to be effectively disabled and after I restored it to working order there I was able to get all the wizards to run.

Thanks to Cliff I kept at it and worked the solution.
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.
