Hi Friends,
Is there any alternative to blueband.master, blackband.master pages of sharepoint 2007 in sharepoint 2010.

The out of the box master pages are shown here

Theres nothing to stop you taking a copy of a 2007 master page and branding your pages/sites with it.
You could also upgrade to 2010 without doing a visual upgrade too.

migration is very fine, agree.

question is how about a fresh 2010 farm: need of a master page with different/better look than what v4.master, nightandday.master offers, just like what looks we are offered in moss 2007 via blueband.master etc.

Just create your own copy of the master page.
Right click on an existing master page (in sharepoint designer) and select copy and then paste. You will have a "copy of". Open the copy and delete all the text, then paste in the text from the your blueband.master
Save it with the name of your choice, then right click on it and select set as default
