I just linstalled Spybot on new computer.  It ran the check, but when I click "Fix Selected Problems" it says that "The action could not be performed properly because I am not an administrator."    I'm running a laptop w/ Win7.   I'm not sure why this is happening.   I've never been denied access like this.

I've stopped using spybot because of the services they install.  Use MalwareBytes instead.

But to answer your question:  Right click on the spybot icon and say run as administrator.  If it's not there, find the target and then repeat with the right click.
