remoteassitance win 7

I try remoteasistance connection to windows xp machine from win 7 machine.

I tried all possibility (googled too) But nothing helps:

firewall deactivation
Regedit tunning
etc

BUT I CAN   RDP this machine, interesting is  i cant ping too

what version of win xp is it? and is the "Allow Remote Assistance Connections to This Computer check box" ticked on the xp machine? have you added the Windows Remote Assistance to firewall exception?

how are you rdping..? ip address or machine name?

are the machine on a network?

-how are you rdping..?--I CAN RDP
-ip address or machine name?-- I CAN PING BOTH IP AND NAME NOW.BUT STILL NOT WORKING REMOTEASSISTANCE
-are the machine on a network?--YES

Still cant ,where is the problem?

How are you using RDP and ping? IP address or computer name? Also, are there any networking components that could be blocking certain network functions?

If you are using VPN software on the system, check to see if there is a network validation tool installed like Cisco NAC or a Deterministic Network Enhancer driver installed in the network settings portion of your network device. Sometimes disabling those type functions can restore certain network activity.

Verify proper DNS resolution via nslookup.

You can also download Dameware as a trial version and it can give you specific errors when you try to connect with the Mini Remote Control:

Basically, anything that can affect the network path.

Include any specific error messages that generate from any program or method of connection.

RDPused with IP and Computer Name and ping  too ,
nslook up comes out correct revers correct too.This mean is DNS is OK.
I dont know where is the Problem ,I start to believe Remoteassistance is not very trusted.
