what is the syntax for checking to see if a database server has Oracle Management Agent is installed

I am trying to access a database server through Oracle Grid Control and documentation says that if Oracle Management Agent is installed on the database server then the grid will see it. Can someone tell me how I can find out if it is installed?

From a command prompt on the database server:  emctl status agent
