Hello,

When creating a setup project with VS2010 for my windows application, is there a way when install the application, not to overwrite existing files found in the installation folder?

Thanks,

Victor

claims that patching is not supported in VS setup projects

What you describe is patching. Visual Studio doesn't support patches, so you will need to create them manually. If you want an easier solution, there are commercial setup authoring tools which offer direct support for both an updater and patches.
