Issue with Windows 2008 AD Integrated DNS - multiple A records to the same IP address
Hi,
We run DNS zone integrated with AD (Windows 2008R2 SP2 DCs). The scavenging time is set to default 7 days.
I have seen that DNS shows for 3 different A records the same IP. See the attached.
nslookup also resolves the A record to 3 different IPs.
When I try to RDP to the workstation via name I am being directed to a different workstation.
For example
workstation1 - IP 1.1.1.1
workstation2 - IP 1.1.1.1
workstation3 - IP 1.1.1.1
RDP to workstation1 and I am being sent to workstation2
This is causing problems with SCCM since the server gets confused and it can not delivered the package that we are trying to push.
Any ideas of what is going on and how to fix this problem?
