Help with Cookies

I am attempting to create a page that stores user id and password in cookies, and if the cookies are present will allow user to simply enter the site, otherwise allows input of user name and password.  My code seems to work in netscape, but in IE will open the enter button after username and password but enter button redirects back to the login page.

i think there is problem with your js file. i,e. it's browser specific.
you can try easy & simple jquery plugin with works with all browser

http://code.google.com/p/cookies/

this plugin allow you to handle cookies more easily with it's simple methods.
