SharePoint MasterPage Branding

I have the professinal SharePoint 2010 Branding and user interface design book.

I'm in chapter  8, which focuses on Master Pages.

I download the starter master page (startpublishing.master) the book is using and I copy and paste it into the another master page called waffles.master.   I save and check in and approve.
I then go to the "Site Master Page Settings" to point to my new master page but I get an error which says

Error

File Not Found.

What am I wrong?

Attached is the file.

THanks!

There is probably a fault in the masterpage you are pasting, it is probably including a file in it which it can't find.   Check all the  "src" attributes in the "Register" sections at the top to make sure that everything it needs is available.
