modprof and outlook 2000 alternative
within my ERP program, users need to send email. I have been using modprof w/ outlook 2000. This allows the users to click on send mail, inside the application, the application calls on outlook 2000 and modprof logs them into their outlook profile. Now the users mailboxes have been moved to exchange 2010 and outlook 2000 is not compatable.
Is there an alternative to modprof for the later versions of outlook?

If it uses a SendTo
It will be using MAPIMAIL to send the email.
In saying that Outlook 2003 should technically work
ONly thing you need to be aware of, is oftern (usually during an Upgrade)
The MAPI dlls can become broken or corrupt,
When this happens SendTo will not work properly
What you need to do after the Upgrade is fix the MAPI Dlls by renaming them or deleting them, while outlook is closed
Next tiem you open outlook they will be recreated and the Send To should work again
The link below will show you how.

If you can get it to work in 2003, theres a possibility it might even work in 2007 or 2010 as they still use MAPIMAIL
But lets try with 2003 first
It will be using MAPIMAIL to send the email.
