Hi Expert,

I am having trouble on a site, after trying to update to the latest version of wordpress.  At first I got call to undefined function wp(), after that got this error:

Warning: require_once(/home/ic3792/public_html/WPINC/template-loader.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/ic3792/public_html/wp-blog-header.php on line 14

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/ic3792/public_html/WPINC/template-loader.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php') in /home/ic3792/public_html/wp-blog-header.php on line 14

What could be the problem...?  Anyone had same experience?  Please help me resolve, error happened at a horrible time, when I have so many deadlines to meet!

hi,

1. What version did you upgrade from
2. What version did you upgrade to
3. It looks like you are using a custom theme, is that theme compatible with the version of wordpress you upgraded too?

I would try logging into the admin and changing the theme to the default theme that comes with wordpress, if that resolves the issue then you will probably need to contact the creator of your theme to resolve this issue.

When wordpress was updating, my internet connection timed out leaving a lot of empty files with file size 0, the solution was to re-upload the missing files with file size 0..I guess next time have to make sure internet is not timing out when updating....some of the drawbacks of running an internet business in sub saharan africa...unreliable connectivity at times!

Clearly a case of internet time outs affecting file manipulation and upload!
