We have a user on a new PC with Outlook 2010.  We imported her nk2 to the new system as 2010 doesnt use nk2 files.  All her recent contacts are there, GAL is showing up as well.

Issue is when typing a name in the To field, it is looking up by email not name.  For example: if the user types John Smith autocomplete doesnt find it as typing, however if the user types jsmith it immediately appears.  How can we have 2010 autocomplete index and pre-search by name not email...

It's attempting to find whatever it can because it cannot use the .nk2 file. I had an issue like this with a user a while ago. I found the following article out on the interwebs: NK2 Outlook 2010 Import

Hope this helps you as well. Have a good evening.

we had imported properly based on MS information.  it was searching improperly.  Had to manually edit file via excel to resolve.
