Seeking a JSON tutorial that grabs data from a real-world resource.

Hi, I'm seeking a JSON tutorial that grabs data from a non-local resource and every tutorial I find simply creates and accesses a local JSON object. I would like to find a tutorial that takes advantage of a real-world service.

The reason you don not see such examples is because JSON only can access cross domain resources if CORS has been implemented. An alternative is via a local proxy, but then your existing tutorials work again
If you look for JSONP, you will have more luck
