Hello,

Use the following procedure :

1/ connect with console cable to the Cisco Asa 5510 Appliance, you can use putty or minicom depending on your computer OS
2/ turn off the appliance by removing the power cord
3/ turn on the appliance by plugin the power cord
4/ interupt the boot process when you see "Use BREAK or ESC to interrupt boot."
5/ you then arrive on a prompt "rommon #0>"
6/ configure the ASA to ignore its startup config by typing "confreg 0x41"
7/ boot the ASA with "reload"
8/ once you get to the "ciscoasa>" prompt, type "en" and no password and you re done !
9/ to finalize the reset : type "conf factory-default" then "write mem"

I think it should be ok now.
