Hi,

We have a group of workstations for which we would like to delete the following:

Temporary Internet files
Cookies
Temporary information stored by browser add-ons

Is there any way to configure this via GPO?

It's possible to do it with a script that is deployed by a GPO, but not with a GPO itself. Most of the settings in a GPO are registry modifications, and if it can't be done with a registry mod in a GPO, it has to be scripted. Deleting files falls under that category.

Could the script be assigned via GPO to a group of workstation? I understand you can assigned the GPO to an OU and then use the logon script within the GPO itself. The question is would that vbs script work for a computer account? Or do we need to assgin the script to a users?

In order for the script to work, it would have to be a logon/logoff script because the Internet Cache is part of the user profile. You can assign a user configuration setting on specific users using a policy loopback, though. So you can link the logon/logoff script to an OU of computers, configure policy loopback, and any user that logs in to those computers would get the script. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/231287 has info on loopback
