Microsoft CRM: how to automatically publish articles

See attatched. To publish I have to submit the one in draft>which goes to unapproved and only after I approve it, it goes to published. After it is published, it is searchable.

How do I made it automaically publish when the article is created? I did find a table in database called kbArticleBase where I can set both stateCode and StatusCode to 3. It does move the article to published folder but it is not searchable from workplace.

I compared the ones which I did from Draft>Upapproved>Published Vs the one I manually set the codes to 3. The difference was that the manual one didnt seem to put the template. I open the article and the entries are blank.

So if there a way set the CRM so that it automatically publish the articles without having to go through draft and unapproved folders? Is there somewhere else in the database table I see to set the flags?

Thanks

You really shouldn't play around with values in the database tables. As you've discovered doing what looks like the right thing may not work.

I would consider using an automatic workflow that runs when an article record changes status. In the workflow, check that the status is unapproved and add a step to change the status to published.

thanks, I have given creaters to have ability to publish their own articles. That way I dont have to work with database on the backend.
