Configuring Apple's Key Chain

I have Mac Lion and iPhone 4S.

What steps do I take to install and use it to organize my password and login information?

Thanks.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

When the login and password window for an application on a Mac opens, there should be a checkbox that says something about saving this info in your keychain. Just click to check that checkbox, and your info will be saved.

There is no "installation" required - the keychain is already installed by default. You can see what items are in it by using the Keychain Access application, located in Finder under Applications, then Utilities.
