Is Internet Explorer open? If so close it and see what happens.

It appears to be a recent common problem.

Do you have any add-ins running on IE like Google Toolbar?

Run Windows update to update your Windows and Office.  There might be a problem with a shared dll that could be resolved by updating both Windows and Office.

In the Mean while we updated the Office version from 2007 to 2010 and still we have the same issue.

- The Highlight does not happen when you press Ctrl+C
- Paste Options are not listed fully.
- Format Painter does not work.

Please do suggest a solution.

I asked my question about add-ins because it might be one of the add-ins that you have added to IE (if any) that's causing the problem perhaps because it/they are not compatible with Win 7. Do you have any?

Here's something else to look at.

Do you have an antivirus program installed? If so then you could try calling them for help, if not then you really should install one. There are some decent free ones.

Oh and you may be able to get help at AntiOnline.
