My wife has entered a fashion competition and who ever gets the most likes gets a $500 shopping voucher.
We are a bit short for cash at the moment so I said I would help.
But I am not big with facebook (for the most part I dont get the attraction!)

1 - How can I help her get more likes?
2 - please like the pciture for me
3 - yes I am a nerd with a hot wife - feel free to comment and remind her of that
4 - I have and wear a shirt that says "Blokes punching above their weight"

Well, the best way is just to explain the situation on media sites that she has (facebook, twitter, etc) and let everyone know that it's for a contest, and ask that they repost that and ask all their friends. I've had quite a few friends in contests who do this and have had success doing it this way.

P.S. I "liked" the photo to help out. :P

for anybody else reading this. there are several good "vote" or "like" exchanges on Facebook - people entering competitions all over the world will give you a like if you give them one.
Suprisingly you can even buy "likes" on ebay.
If you are trying to make a business appear more popular this could well be the way.

I will leave this question open a day or two longer in case there are any other suggestions. otherwise I may split the points

I object to this question being closed with the zero points to the author. In his request he stated:

2 - please like the pciture for me

I as well as 2 others performed this request.

Also suggestions were given in answer to #1

I feel a 4-way split of points is warranted.

I believe that the question was answered in part or fully by these posters and should be closed with these accepts:

Accepted answer: 0 points for wolfcamel's comment #a37770268
Assisted answer: 500 points for Tymetwister's comment #a37761991

for the following reason:

first post most helpful, grateful to otherposts, but in the interest of people searching this site for future solutions to the same problem, my own update provided the "best" advice.

Personally I use the points with the intention of helping future readers determine the most appropriate answer to THEIR future problem.

By your own admission, the first post was helpful and therefore deserves an accept.
Secondly, you yourself asked that as part of your question we go "like" the Facebook page, which we did, also deserving of points. I went so far as to post the page on my own page for additional "likes". If it was never your intention to give points for comments, they should not have been offered.

I again object to the zero point closing.

i have given points to the first post,
why should I give you points for this question - you liked my wifes picture 5 months after my original post - so obviously just fishing old questions for points and of no use in entering a competiion.

the main point of my question was to ask HOW to get more likes.
