Help connecting to remote SQL server in Mgt Studio
I'm trying to connect to a SQL server via IP address. I keep getting the error in the screenshot. I also have a screenshot showing my Firewall rule, and my IP settings in my registry. Any ideas on how I can connect?
My remote server shows this in the security event logs on the server I'm trying to connect to
The Windows Filtering Platform has blocked a packet.

you were exactly correct! I opened configuration and sure enough, TCP was not enabled. Thanks a lot
