search if a document is saved on ipod

i was typing a document in ipod, and did something and not able to see the document anymore..

does ipod save documents in temp locations (like windows).. how can i confirm if is indeed completely gone or still somewhere....

What do you mean by "typing a document in ipod."  In what app?

actually, it is the regular 'notes' that is in the 'social'
