Hey Experts,

I have a SharePoint 2010 item list that has content approval for items using the default method. I would like to have the content approval work only for items that have been created not if they have been edited. Currently I have a workaround using a workflow to set the item status back to approved when an item is changed but this lags behind in the page and items are pending then change back to approved.

Any Recommendations?

Hello,
It seems like you need to disable automatic workflow start when items are changed.
When you create your workflow you can choose when the workflow will runn - on every new item, on every change of an item or manual.
