Hi All,
1. While exporting data in a flat file I am looking for an  example to add column header, footer, number of records  using ssis 2008.
2. Is it possible to see if file already exists and rename it before writing a new file?
3. Delete any files extracted older than 30 days
4. I also need to package and schedule for automatic execution . How one can do it thru ssis deployment?

Thanks

Hi,

1 & 2, what do you mean by exporting data in a flat file, is that means exporting TO flat file or importing from flat file?

I'll assume you mean exporting to flat file,  explain more about what you need? because you could rename your columns headers to whatever you want.

or you mean a custom header? if a custom header, see this link http://agilebi.com/jwelch/2008/02/08/adding-headers-and-footers-to-flat-files/

3-use that link and change the hours to 30 days, http://asqlb.blogspot.com/2011/08/ssis-process-files-that-has-been.html

4-to schedule a c package you'll use sql server agent, check that link http://decipherinfosys.wordpress.com/2008/09/17/scheduling-ssis-packages-with-sql-server-agent/

let me know which step you need more help with
Regards,
Jason
