Hi, I need to report somehow on internal traffic on our exchange 2010 servers. We have remote smtp/pop3 clients and normal exchange online in the HQ office. We have now got a request that we have to supply a report on internal traffic between branch to branch and branch to HQ. HOW THE HELL!!!! Exchange 2010 reporting is really sad!....

If your traffic goes through a NetFlow supporting device you can use PRTG by Paessler (free of charge for 10 sensors). In PRTG you can configure a sensor to monitor and record all SMTP Traffic going through a NetFlow supporting device. PRTG creates well formated graphs/lists to review the traffic. By the way you can monitor many many other things with PRTG...

yes you could also configure one sensor for one server, that will result in a monitoring of 10 servers. You can find more information here.
