I have a few employees that are getting an error when syncing their offline files to a shared directory because they don't have access to a folder in there called DfsrPrivate. I can't find this file to delete or change permissions on it. How do i go about deleting this file or changing the permissions?

Under no circumstances are you to delete dfsrprivate, which is a dfs folder used for managing replication and it is a hidden folder.
Is the share in question requires to be available offline?

No i dont want the folder to be available offline. However, the folder is not even visible so I am not sure how to exclude that folder.

Does the user have to have the files in these shares available offline?
The systems that are having these issues reported are windows 7 which I believe has an issue with the sync center going offline eventhough it is on the LAN.
Disabling the caching (offline access) to this share should reduce this issue.
You could use GPO offline setting excluding this folder.
I'll have to check to make sure I am not mixing exclusion options.
