Hi,

I have been trying to create a new collection and have created a secruity group in AD and added a conmputer to it. I have also created a new collection and added a new query liek below:

select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System where SMS_R_System.SystemGroupName = "domain\\Group Name"

I have truned on Active directory discovery methods but my collection still does not show my one computer in the collection. Any idea what i am missing?

I dont personally know the sql command to get it to work. But if you go to add a new Query ... Click the Edit Query button and switch to the Criteria Tab.

Click New (The yellow star)

Criterion Type: Simple Value

Click Select under Where

Attribute Class: System Resource
Allias as: <No Alias>
Attribute: System Group Name

Operator: is equal to

Click the Value button and choose the security group you are looking for.

That worked for me, but we dont have any Collections that we created using security groups. All of ours were created off of AD OUs
