Should I Install KB940349 to Fix VSS Problems on SBS 2003?

Hello,

I have a couple of other questions posted on a related topic.  Basically, I have a SBS 2003 server that is throwing all kinds of VSS errors whenever I try to run a backup job with NTbackup, or Backup Exec 12.  I have done some digging and came across a thread that referred someone to the following KB article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940349

"Availability of a Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) update rollup package for Windows Server 2003 to resolve some VSS snapshot issues"

I ran Belarc Advisor on my server and searched for 940349 - it was not listed as being installed.

KB940349 also stated that "This update replaces the following previously released updates:"

    KB931312
    KB940041
    KB940239
    KB940252
    KB939989

I searched for the above 5 patches and none of them have been installed.  Should I install 940349?  Is there any danger in installing this patch?

I should point out that when I run vssadmin list providers I get two listings with no errors.  The first is for Microsoft Software Shadow Copy provider 1.0 and the second is for "Acronis VSS Hardware provider.  The Acronis is showing up even though  I have disabled the two Acronis services.
