wakeup

I plan to use AMT wake-up function from my work to my home computer.
I have
Dell Vostro_400
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 2.40GHz 3GB Ram 32Bit
.

someone has experience with this function how can i do or any tips?

You won't be able to use AMT as it requires special commands to wake up the PC; but, if you simply go to the power management tab of the network controller in the device manager, you can check the box to allow this device to wake the PC (uncheck the magic packet box).
Afterwards, if you setup port forwarding in your router for the appropriate remote access software or use either Teamviewer or LogMeIn, the network activity will wake your PC (but it won't turn it on).

The Intel AMT will allow a locally connected computer running their management software to power up (turn on) PC's on the network; but, that will not work from a remote location.
If the PC is on, even though "sleeping" the power management option in the device manager will wake the PC up simply because a network packet was received.
