Netbeans offers the Toolbars, how to program those toolbars.

Free Tool: Subnet Calculator

The subnet calculator helps you design networks by taking an IP address and network mask and returning information such as network, broadcast address, and host range.

One of a set of tools we're offering as a way of saying thank you for being a part of the community.

Eclipse is most popular, but if you want to use GUI Builder (like the one available in Visual Studio) then the most usable and famouse is the one coming woth NetBeans

If you ask me - i would not recommend to start with GUI Builder - that makes you dependent on that and leass flexibale - so it is better to learn about GUI elements and create GUI youself.
But that is of course my opinion.

Also when you laeraning Java Swing - you vbasically learning it for all systems not only for windows, because in java all ideology and many details are in fact identical

There are of course many details different - those differences are more about file system interactions then abiout GUI, still there may be some details different for winodws and Unix about GUI either

If you are new to Java in general then along with Swing you defintely want to learsn general java syntax and idology, as this is of course perrequisite for any java programming be it GUI programming or server side operations
