In notepad, how many lines can be printed if fontsize is 12 in 8.5x11(Letter) papersize?
and if fontsize is 10,

It depends on the font, and the margins.  I don't print much, but my currennt standard default of Lucida Console Size 10 seems to put 63 lines to the pdf file I printed to.  Font Size 12 puts 52 lines.

Old English Text size 10 prints 52 lines and size 12 prints 43 lines per page.

Ok, so pdf file and notepad file has same spacing of lines when using letter papersize?

I print to PDF so I don't waste paper testing.  It's an easy way to examine layout.  What you see in the pdf will be what you see on paper.

Number your lines, set the font, and set the fontsize.  Then print to pdf and open the file to see the layout.
