Trying to set up a site to site VPN between these two devices.  Can't get the settings right.  Has anybody made this work?

I have tried and I failed. It looks like Linksys is seen as a VPN client. I managed to connect with linksys using GroupVPN policy but not site to site. It does not want to use policy on the sonicwall. My solution was to get small Sonicwall like TZ100W at the remote site. (Cheaper than the consulting fees ;-)

Good luck!

I wish I could say I figured it out but I left it alone for a while to find a solution and it connected. Nothing special in the settings, group 1 with matching settings.

I'm going to split the points between this and your solution. That way other people looking can see it works but that they may want to upgrade the linksys box as a solution.

Thanks

I know, I have seen sonicwall working with Linksys. I  even have a client right now. The issue is that this is an older Linksys box. Now if we are talking about commercial solution the cost of the TZ100 is nominal to most businesses and having better (real) firewall as a part of solution makes sense. It makes sense to secure remote office since most likely it does not have resources (IT staff) and is far more vulnerable to attacks than HQ. LinkSys does not offer IPS, AV, REPORTING!!, etc...
Sonicwall reporting tool Analyzer, alone  kills any amount of Linksys routers at any given time ;-)
