To configure it :

a) get the understanding of what aggregates are
b) Root volume
c) Allocating Disks (Ownership etc)
d) RAID DP
e) Data ONTAP (The operating system that powers NetAPP)
f) WAFL - Write anywhere file layout - Good to understand the underlying architecture.
g) Volumes (Trad Vols, Flex Vols)
h) Thin Provisioning Storage

You also would need to first chalk out a plan as to what you intend to use it for, as a NAS (file share) in a Windows environment or mixed OS - OR

As a SAN and you want to use iSCSI to map LUN to your servers.

To configure the device you have, you can either do it via CLI (Console or SSH) or via Netapp ONCommand software (browser based - java).

You would have to do the initial setup via console (i think) or if you have dhcp it may assign an ip to netapp once connected and you can browse to http://netapp-ip/na_admin

or Discover via NetAPP OnCommand software

Above is the docs you would need to understand different aspects of the device.

I'd add a doc named  Documentation Map to the list:

Es bueno lo primero que hay que hacer
es iniciar el Storage, elegir boot normal, pero si quieren iniciar desde fabrica, entonces elegir la opcion 4, aunque esto lleva mucho tiempo.

Una vez elegida la opcion, asignarle el nombre y la ip.

una vez hecho esto, desde system manager o vfiler web se puede terminar el proceso
