move mail items on close

i've been asked to clear my deleted items folder in outlook 2003 as my company wants to permantly delete those items on a nightly basis. I'd like to script outlook to move all items from "deleted items" to a folder "deleted items - kept" when i exit outlook or on a schedule. i've built the routine, and tested it fine, but it fails on the quit event from outlook. I'm guessing because outlook closes before the quit event is fired. is there a way around this?

i've seen some posts where people suggest firing the module when a reminder is triggered, but that's not ideal for me.

any help would be much appreciated.

No need for a script to do this.
Outlook has this as built in functionality

IN Outlook, go to Tools>Options>Other

Check Empty Deleted Items on Close

i don't want to empty the folder, i want to move them from the deleted items to another folder.

doesn'[t look like this has been done. I've created a hotkey in stead and assigned it to a button i've created that does the same thing. not ideal, but will have to do.

doesn't look like it can be done so i've found a close alternative.
