SharePoint 3.0 Announcement Web Part Size Problem

Up until fairly recently, when posting on my WSS 3.0 SharePoint team site home page, I would see the title and approximately 4 lines of the body of an announcement after posting a new announcement.  Now however I see only the title, and none of the body.  I'm not sure what caused the change, but I've noticed this is true for all sites in this site collection.  How can I get the announcements web part on my home page to behave as it did previously by displaying the first few lines of the body of an announcement?

Open up the properties of the Announcement webpart. Ensure that the Selected View is "Summary View". This is what shows the summary lines as well as the title.

As for why it's changed for all sites, can only imagine that someone changed the setting.

The "summary view" was selected and is selected for all sites, yet none of the announcement body shows in the web part.

Please go into the view as detailed in this thread and confirm that the body column is included.

This is WSS 3.0 not SharePoint 2010, so I don't have the same controls.  However, "body" is one of the column options in the "edit the current view" area, and it IS selected.

The problem was the result of a failed update due to low disk space.  Clearing out disk space and re-installing the update corrected the problem.
