Sitemap generator - which is the best?

I have a site with around 700 pages, 500 of which are created on the fly.
Can you please advise which is the best generator for :
1.  sitemap.xml
2.  sitemap.html
3. Will the wordpress google sitemap generator work for a site not written in Wordpress?
Thanks

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If your site is a mixture of static and dynamic pages then you absolutely need a spider-based site map generator.  There are a bunch of these that either run as scripts on the site depending on the language you support or as local software that crawls the site using a browser object.   Each type produces both HTML and XML files but there is a wide variety of quality out there.

What is the site written in and what other languages can your server support?

And no, you can't use any Wordpress plugins for this.  Those require Wordpress structure and database tables to work.

Only just picked up your post as I have been travelling.  Mea culpa.   I think that day I was like King Kong I had so much I was trying to deal with - and I have been travelling.
I have not solved my problem.
I have tried xml-sitemaps.   Good price, nice features and high user ratings. But.
I have six sites, sitting on different servers each of which needs ror.xml and sitemap.xml.
They are on a Windows platform and it seems that this s/w needs the input of their techies on  a Windows platform.
I need a good see-all, do-all package that will apply to each of my six sites - and deliver the goods.
Any suggestions please.
