Convert files to FLV for viewing with red5 server.

Hello.

I have many files in different formats (WMV,DVD,AVI,MPG, etc').
I have installed video stream server (red5).

I am searching for a simple way to convert all the files to FLV.
I have windows 2008 Server.

open-source or free software are always better.

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

well you can use a command line FLV converter such as

http://worldtv.com/blog/guides_tutorials/flv_converter.php

http://ffmpeg.org/documentation.html

http://ffmpeg.org/ffserver.html

http://www.bala-krishna.com/convert-video-files-to-flv-using-ffmpeg-command/

you may find some better information there.

then you can setup a script to run and convert the video when it is uploaded to your website.
