Will rebooting remove messages in queue on Edge?

I'm having problems with my Exchange 2007 environment. Earlier this week a certificate expired and all hell broke loose. I currently have almost 200 incoming messages stuck in the queue on the Edge server. Outgoing messages are still going through fine.

I want to try rebooting the servers. Will this delete the stuck messages or will they be safe while I reboot?

On your queues and your exchanges there’s a creation-time flag called “durable”. There’s only one thing durable means in AMQP-land…the queue or exchange marked durable will be re-created automatically on reboot. It does not mean the messages in the queues will survive the reboot. They won’t. You can reboot your server.

Sooooooooooooo... ?
Your last sentence confuses me: "You can reboot your server."
Everything you said before that seems to indicate that my queue will be lost if I reboot.

I do not want to lose the messages in queue. I want the messages in the queue to be delivered.
