is there a website that will show how much mb a youtube audio(no video) will take with different compression settings? then depending on how much space is fine, then we can download the appropriate one..

In the second one (I am sure there are many other on internet) you may choose the mp3 settings - and from here the quality and file size.
I do not think you can find a multiple conversion youtube file (at least estimated) online page, but you can search more.
As stand alone software in your PC I see it possible but I do not know one now (to estimate the end size file). A parallel conversion for multiple sizes does not make too much sense for somebody who makes such downloader, converter. You just download, see and the choose the desired mp3 setting for any further mp3s.
My approach for many mp3s would be 1) or 2) depending by what software you decide to use:
1) Test mp3 settings vs file size for several downloads of the youtube files - the batch download for all files that you need. This is direct youtube to mp3.
2) Batch (multiple) download of the youtube files in : mp3 or flv or whatever
- then the second step - batch convert the dowloaded files in mp3 with the desired mp3 setting vs file size after you test sveral files (similar with case 1) )
The 2) is a bit longer, 2 steps 2 programs, but gives you more flexibility, more software on the net.
