In column "E" I need to add a Conditional Format Formula that higlight the cell in red when the value format typed is NOT as need it.

The values un column "E" must be like this:  J-31473021-5
(Letter "J" or "G" followed by "-" then 8 numbers then "-" and finally 1 number).

¿There is a way to do it ?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Depending on you excel version you can do it via menu bar. following link should help in understanding the different condition you can use conditional formatting.

Thanks for the link netballi, it has nice conditional format samples... But I still  have no idea on how the formula that I need should be ?.

select column E, add a condition that is based on a formula (in 2007 and later it is called a new rule and "use a formula to determine...") and enter

Select a format and click OK. See attached.
