I have a excel file, want to "copy/paste with the option to transpose".  Only problem is my option when attempting is only giving me the options in "paste special" of unicode, and text.  Its a weird dialogue box not normally shown.

Can i correct this?

Are you copying from a web page? If so, you might get different results if you change browsers. Firefox renders a page differently than Internet Explorer.

Are you trying to copy and paste between workbooks in different instances of Excel? If so, you lose the ability to transpose. You can tell you are in a different instance of Excel if the View...Switch Windows menu item doesn't show the other workbook.

<<Is there a way i can get around if my versions of Excel are different?>>  No. This is a limitation of Excel.

But you can open two or more workbooks in the same instance of Excel, such as by using Excel's File...Open menu item. Is there some reason why doing so is not desirable?

No, this option will work, just curious.
