I have a cold fusion "datefield" like the one below. Right below it on the form I have another field... when the calendar icon is clicked for this field it opens "behind" the field below it so you cannot read the month.

Does anyone have a tip on how to make this open in front the other field? Maybe a div with a z index would work? Thanks.

   <cfinput type="datefield"
            name="mydatefield"
            value="#mydatefield#"
            message="Date field must be a valid date"
            required="no"
                  validate="date"
            validateAt="onSubmit"
            size="50"
            maxlength="10">

I think you answered your own question ;-) It's an IE bug and yes the standard fix is to tweak the z-index.  Example

The solution is to sandwich your CFINPUT statement between
<div style="position:relative; z-index:1">
</div>
