"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

To my knowledge you can run GIT on almost any platform without the need to worry about the system requirements. The only time you would need to worry about that in this instance would be if your compiling GIT from source.

Ok. Can I get a reference to support that Idea?  Thank you.

That's the thing, even searching the sourcecode of GIT for system requirements will yield little to nothing. Any computer running an OS from the last 5 or so years should be able to run GIT without issues. Is there something in particular you are trying to get from the system requirements?
