Change credit card expiry date on Skype account

I got an email from Skype telling me my credit card expires soon and to update the details. The only way to do this appears to be to enter the card as a new card. How can they be so stupid? (You may not be able to answer that!) My real question is how can I change ONLY the expiry date?

I accept that this is the only solution but I still think it's ridiculous. When a credit card expiry date is looming it should only be necessary to change teh date and CVC. I've come across this somewhere else too so maybe this is the direction everybody is heading. Of course they will always say it's for security reasons, whether it is or not.
