I usually see the iphone icon when I plug my phone to the PC and open windows explorer.  Now I don't.

I do however see the phone from itune.

Anyone knows the fix for this?

Thanks.

I see it there in my Windows Explorer (iPhone 4S OS V5.1). Look in Devices and Printers and see if it exists as a USB device - it should. Right click and try the troubleshooting menu. Also try uninstalling it, restarting and then see if it re-discovers the iPhone.

If it is not there in Devices and Printers, try adding a USB device to see if re-disovers. Also try a different USB port on the computer.

I see the device in device manager.  Still, I do not see it being shown as a drive from Windows Explorer.

It was there before.  For some reason, it is missing : (

I was asking earlier if you saw the iPhone in Devices and Printers (which is different than Device Manager).

(a) If you remove the device in Device Manager and restart, it should re-discover. That may re-enable it.

(b) Try running System File Checker. In an admin prompt, run SFC /SCANNOW and allow to complete. Restart. Run SFC again if errors occur that are not corrected.

No good.  I have removed the apple mobile device and re-added.  Same story.  The Windows  Explorer is not showing iPhone storage.

So if removing the device (to force re-find it), using a different USB port, and System File Checker all failed to work, there may have been something go wrong with your operating system.

"Libraries and Organize" in the picture you posted suggest this is a Windows 7 machine. Assuming that to be the case and assuming you have the Windows 7 DVD, you can backup your machine and try a repair install. That would be the next step.

You might take the iPhone to a different computer and plug it in. Do not let it synchronize anything, but just see if it shows up in Windows Explorer on the different computer. It could be an iPhone issue (but I don't think that is likely).

Can I import picture to my iphone from iTune 10?

If you go into the Sync section of iTunes (connect up your iPhone), there is a spot for Music and also I think for pictures and video. So yes, you should be able to do that.

I see it in my iTunes. See below:

iTunes-Photo-Sync

iTunes is now at V10.6 (fairly recent). Perhaps uninstall iTunes completely, download a fresh copy, restart and install it again.  Perhaps that will fix your issue.

The answer arrived a little late after I found the solution myself.  But that's okay.

Thanks for your help.
