after configuring  my hp bl870c i2 blade running hpux 11i v3 with hp apa connecting to a brocade swicthes my configure lan interfaces fail on reboot

This is the error  I  get on bootup: "Configure LAN interfaces ............................ . FAIL *"

there are too many reason for the nic ...not to start.


the main important thing is whether the NIC shows the software state claimed , not unknown or no hardware.
if it is claimed then you can use sam to configure the NIC.

check first....

ioscan -knfC lan
lanscan
netstat -in
lanadmin -g 0

I have solved problem it was on the swicth side we change to LACP  to short vice long.
