Our Exchange server sends old emails when it is restarted (one or 2 to each user) does anyone know why and how to prevent?

Issue may be because of outlook profile corruption.

If this issue occurs for few users, login to those users mailbox using OWA, where you can see few emails still on outbox, if it there, delete it.

Those email will be sent already, but due to various reason it will still on outbox, and if you restart ur exchange server, it will be resent.

I think most users got some old emails from January, this happened once before and we applied a service pack but still not cured.

I checked a couple of OWA's outboxes and there was nothing there. Maybe the problem has gone? The only way to find out would be restarting and risking annoying everyone.
