this is a mechanism to prevent split brain ( bother servers in a failover cluster becoming active at the same time) , when they loose contact with each other.. &nbsp;For the cluster node to be active / &quot;live&quot; then it requires two votes to be promoted to active , or to stay active. one from the host , the other from the quorum disk. <br />
