microsoft office problems

i am getting the following message - there was a problem reading 1 or more of your reminders.  some reminders may not appear.  network problems are preventing connection to the microsft exchange server computer.

i removed office and reinstalled it with no effect

its a windows 7 machine running outlook 2003 from an excahnge server.

close outlook and try to run below command.
Start->run->outlook.exe /cleanreminders

I have tried teh start, run, outlook however I am now getting an error message that I am disconnected from one of the network drives.
this only happens for split seconds but my colleague is using a finicail application and it throws up errors and then it crashes.

any ideas?

i was able to try this and it helped to cure another problem that i was working on.
